There could also be the possibility the kr block has been rebored for 2.0 internals for the ultimate insurance stealth job lol

oil filter housings are also different between 1.8 and 2.0 short blocks but youd do well to spot that from a pic

ok im going for it! its a 2.0 block. on the pic ive done a little red circle just offset from top of oil filter housing. to me this looks like a threaded hole. if it is, then its for a knock sensor on the 2.0 block KR blocks do not have this hole



its easier to see on the original pic on the 1st page
