GOLF GTI MK 2 Wedding hire help!
« on: 09 July 2012, 14:10 »
Hi,

I am new to this forum from the north east.  My Boyfriend had a J Reg Mk 2 Golf GTI 8valve a few years back and it was his pride and joy. Unfortunately he had to sell as we couldnt afford to keep it and buy house etc.

We are now due to get married in March 2013 and i know theres nothing he would love more than to get into a Mk 2 and drive to our wedding.  I am opting for the camper van but would like any help if anyone knows anyone in the north east who would hire out the same or similar kind of MK 2 for our wedding day?

Thanks

Mellisa

Where abouts are you located? Go on vagcars.co.uk and sign up, it is a north east forum for VW/Audi group bunch and a few of us have mk2's!

Have you tried http://www.rentaretro.co.uk/classic-car-fleet-car-hire.shtml ?
They have a Mk1 GTI, perhaps they might be able to help find a Mk2 GTI for you to hire.

You could also try contacting someone like http://volkswizard.co.uk/ who sell Mk2 Golfs and ask if they could help out.

If you're looking for a Mk2 for the wedding, sounds like you are a great catch. Good luck with the wedding.

You could buy a lovely Mk2 for the price of a wedding dress. How much use enjoyment will the dress give you after the big day has been and gone?
Red Mk6 gone replaced with a white Mk7 which has gone too. Green Mk2 here to stay.

Not even Mr Spock could get a woman to see that.
