Going to bodyshop tomorrow** all done now :-) **
« on: 06 July 2012, 22:07 »
Going to see about getting my rear valance done gloss black same as Gringe ed35. While over going to ask about getting the inside of the VW badge done white to colour code to the rest of the car but not sure what to do about the side skirts, gloss black or colour code them white, I cannot make my mind up!? Also not sure about the front lip, to leave it or gloss black it? I am scared the gloss black will make it look as if it isnt there??

Opinions people??

There was a new Polo GTI in white at inters that had all the lower trim painted gloss black and it looked lovely imo! thats what i'd do, colour coding makes it look a bit chavvy being honest.

Wing mirrors, rear diffuser and front lip yes, but not sure about the side skirts. The side skirts are a nice feature as the are IMO.

+1 the polo gti looked lovely. I think the black side skirts give shape to the side.

Rear diffuser & front lip would look good black, personally would leave everything else well alone as those side skirts look nasty sprayed white and I really don't like the whole black wing mirror thing either.

My plan is to have my front lip sprayed the same metallic graphite colour as the centre piece on the front bumper.

i wouldn't paint the GTI side skirts white or black. the definitely will get hammered by stone chips. personally i think they look good bare plastic.

i would either fit 35/bluemotion skirts or leave them alone

the front and rear diffuser would look good black but even the diffuser I'm not that bothered about

for me its the front lip thats the awkward looking part.

yeah its just a lot cheaper to wrap and when it does look speckled with chips you can easy peel it off.

Yep same as above really, rear diffuser, front lip and wing mirrors look cool when sprayed gloss black....but the side skirts shud be left well alone....
