TT looks great

I didn't realise they did the lower powered version, thought they all started with the same engines as the Golf GTi/GTD.

I think they're great cars. Looks nice in red too!

Made me laugh at the old man/perv bit as my dad drives one!!

My friend has a white TTS and it is a monster of a car - TTS looks best in sprint blue IMO as the styling mods get lost on white/silver

My boss had a TTRS roadster in metallic white on trial for a week while he was choosing his company car. He let me have it for one day. It was savage, awesome fun....still felt a bit of a girl driving it though..

Kenneth,

I understand your view on the tiTTies, but personally think that the original was the more girly/hairdressers version.
I think that the new one is now more 'manned-up', so wouldn't be ignorant to these

i have previously owned the audi tt mark 2 2.0 way back in 2006 when new tt's were rare- it was a major head turner and the ride is far better than the gti(mark 6) which i own now.  the driving position is faultless and is faster than the gti and more accomplished on the motorway.  neat touches like the pop up spoiler is fun, the "farting" of the exhaust at speeds is cool.  it was truly a sports car compared to its predeccessor.  it was great having a tt with so few on the road, now you see one in every street.
tt's still look very fresh and new especially the rs and the prices are very affordable evn though it is 6 yrs since its launch-  u need to be aware that a mark 3 is imminent.
btw i have also owned a boxster 987 gen 2 which is the most amazing car to drive- the feel of the steering wheel is amazing(second to none) and the grunt of the engine is top.  unfortunately it was sold in march for my dad's 991s.

I went from a Mk 6 GTI to the 211hp TT ...essentially the same engine, but lots more torque (350Nm compared to 280 of the Golf), and that makes it a really enjoyable car to drive..well built and after 18months been problem free.

Will probably go back to the GTI when the mk 7 comes out, which I've read is getting this TT version of the 2.0 but it's been a nice change having the TT....

Interesting, never knew that, thought the engine specs were he same throughout the VAG group.
