vw vr6 schrick vgi inlet manifold vs vw vr6 vwmotorsport vsr inlet manifold?

As topic above!Both inlet manifold as i mention above will gain good torque and bhp for vr6 engine,but which is the better one compairing the vw vr6 vwmotorsport vsr inlet manifold and and vw vr6 schrick vgi inlet manifold?

I very much doubt you will gain 'good' BHP...you may find between 2 and 5...with cams and headwork...
But you WILL get huge torque gains low down - like 35lb-ft or more.
I have a dyno graph of a corrado VR6 with cams, that made an extra 70 lb-ft with the Schrick (it replaces the torque the big cams lost low down...and some!)

I doubt either will out perform the other...the Schrick is probably going to be cheaper since it wont have the VWM 'scene' tax applied to it...also the Schrick could be quite a lot newer.

Grab whicever you can get at the best price.

I have only ever owned the Schrick...and it's a fine piece of kit.

you do know they are the same thing, vw motorsport designed (and built the early one's)and then schrick bought the rights to make them...

They are not the same.
They do the same thing...but the VWM item was built by Peirburg (I believe) and there are differences.
Sure, they do the same job...but to say they are the same is slightly missleading.

Schrick quite possibly bought the rights to the idea...but in my opinion, they developed it and ended up with a better product.
The Schrick has the facility to change the casting to fit OBD1 and OBD 2 TBs, and also has a good stab at equal length inlet runners - the VWM does neither.

What are you on about?
There are many cam profiles available for the VR6...and Schrick are primarily a Cam company.
They may have produced cams for VWM...but saying Schrick cams and VWM cams are the same is like saying all wheels are the same because they all go round!

Nice to hear. You can see the shrick has equal length. Get a equal length exhaust manifold too and I'm sure the engine will improve just because of that!

i don't have a clue about these but they always look sweet in the bay, the VW motorsport logo looks uber cool!!

The story goes that vw motorsport sold the design to schrick who then modified it a bit, although to change the spark plugs on the schrick the manifold needs to come off!! (I don't know much about the VR6 but my brother has a Corrado and was looking at these options!)
