I love the blue....I asked my dealer to see if VW would give me my ed35 in blue....but the answer was no way...

What are your initial thoughts then RickS?

Awesome springs to mind immediately; not done many miles yet but I'm also loving the DSG so far. I think it could turn out to be the best car I've ever owned.
Only slight annoyance is that the RNS510 doesn't display CD text from the remote changer [I went for the CD changer instead of MDI, possibly a mistake, but it's too late now to worry about that]
This has not even slightly diminished my enthusiasm and excitement about the car as a package though - so to sum up;  :  :drool:stunning looks,  :cool:high quality finish/feel,  :laugh:drives superbly.

Yes, GTI was manual.

In this case I wouldn't mind being common

Lovely car, I think I'm going to have to buy one!   I have a manual ED30 and wife has DSG Polo GTI (which I drive more than my ED30) and I've just come back from my dealership having driven both a DSG and a manual R and I prefer the manual.

unless they have changed the rules in the past couple years the real answer is he could not be arsed to ask vwuk.
As putting in a special request build is too much hassle for him.
Do a search on here. A few of us in 2010 asked this question to vwuk the reply letter is posted on here somewere.

so that minging yellow gti on ebay a few months ago could have been factory option? i thought it must have been a respray!

interesting. i didn't know you could specify a different colour from the regular ones
