How much power from a 110? Remap etc.

Basically how much power can I get from a 110 TDi and how?
without doing any mods that are visible, ie a remap can't be seen by insurers. Don't want to sky rocket my insurance by declaring engine mods but want more power.

Or just keep an eye out for a 130 or 150 pd?

The 110 AHF & ASV engines uses the older mechanical pump fuel delivery and the by remapping you will get close on 140bhp, but by fitting .216 nozzles. and a custom remap should see you closer to 160+bhp, for more power you will need a bigget turbo and remap to match.

Dug this up but I'm guessing the .216 nozzles are visible? Whatever they are

They are bigger injectors.

Believe they come from 2.5 tdi engines and standard 110's are .205 in size.

i put a pd130 turbo, custom boost hoses, turborevs side mount intercooler, decat and large bore down pipe with .216 injector nozzles and it flies! oh and a blacksmoke remap. the only really blatant parts are the decat and turbo hoses. they only tell the other stuff by taking it to bits, which is quite unlikley

i dont actually know really. map quotes 137hp, so id like to think about 150hp realisticly. i had a tear up with a mazda rx8 and kept with it upto 110 a few days ago so it must be quite gd

Hi there,I have a 110 and found a fella in Gloucester that can remap it too 141bhp and at a reasonable cost of £150.
I found him by mistake really on eBay just type in vw golf remap and you'll find him,sports performanceremap he's called,maybe even worth the trip up for you?
