Changing wheels
« on: 03 July 2012, 20:25 »
I know some people may think it is the devils work changing the wheels from the 18 inch Monza's on the MK6 but ive always love the look of BBS CH's, found a set on ebay, just wondering as to whether they would be a straight fit??

Also not sure on whether I would sell the monza's or keep them so im sure I wouldnt be much out of pocket?

Whats everyones opinion and would I regret??  Not sure anyone has them on the MK6???

Neil GTI has some BBS CH's with some vert tasty VWR Calipers stopping them...

Search for his posts and you see some nice pics.

With regards to keeping the Monza's I'd keep them, it will only help the second-hand price and you'll be able to keep the BBS for another car.

I wouldn't worry about that, quite a few have BBS wheels on this forum.

Well with the lights, mud flaps, wind deflectors and BBS CH in black with a silver lip it might look like its twin.  Im sure it would look good at some of the shows though!!

If I end up getting the wheels I will need to save as I would prefer a remap before I start changing the suspension, plus I wana keep the ACC active right now so maybe some springs and ARB's would do for now.

That's the thing the CHs aren't cheap especially when you put decent rubber on,

Well I think the first mod will be the mud flaps, deflectors and the remap from the local place.

Then it will be likely to be pads and discs followed by CH's and like you say where will it end??????
