keeping this on topic!

does this seem right for my cover letter, as the cv is going to take a few hours  :undecided:

Dear Sir / Madam,

Re: Position ********* Reference No. *********

The job above advertised, I have no offshore experience at this moment in time, but have all the relevant courses ready to get offshore as soon as possible, such as BOSIET, MIST and an offshore medical all with many years’s left till expiry.
You can understand how difficult it is to get offshore without any experience but I am a keen learner and can be available when ever needed, situated 30 minutes from Gatwick and 1 hour from London Heathrow travel links to Aberdeen, and Norwich are in close distances to me.

I am currently employed which I need to give 2 weeks’ notice for, but please get in contact at your earliest opportunity to discuss this opportunity/role/position further to eliminate any possible job losses.

Yours faithfully

feel free to critise, advise or just plain take the piss

The Position above advertised, I have currently no offshore experience at this point in time, but all the relevant courses I will be progressing towards and hopefully provide me with a better insight into offshore working. The current courses which I will be studying are BOSIET, MIST and other relevant offshore medical practice, all with many years’ left till expiry? (This does not make sense?)
I fully understand how difficult it is to get offshore experience, but I am a quick learner and can be readily available whenever the situation is required, I’m based in Sussex, 30 minutes from Gatwick and 1 hour from London Heathrow with travel links to Aberdeen, and Norwich via the motorways networks.

I am currently employed which I need to provide 2 weeks’ notice for leaving, but I hope to hear from you in the future to discuss this great opportunity/role/ enabling to further my career.

Yours faithfully

Thats a quick edit as I do not know exactly what you want to comunicate on this?
