Are the fsi engines any good in the mk5s pref the gt fsi 2.0 or 1.6 fsi. Also are the 2.0 diesels any good?

Iv got around 4k to play with and dont want to go back to a
Mk4 so was looking at slightly newer shape cars

Not seEn decent one around 4k they are more in region of 6 k 

What about the fsi engines

Nothing special; the 1.6 will make you wish you'd bought the diesel and the 2.0 will make you think you should have bought the GTI 

How about a Leon with the diesel engine? More car for your money

I can get a 2.0 gt fsi 150bhp for 3800 with 60k n clock. But my brother is saying the fsi engines are full of problems

I just thought that is a lot of car for the money and after a few beers it intensified that thought.
