Ive just swapped my gti 1.8t 2001(150) for a gttdi 110 2000 so had the wife call the insurers to add the new tdi to the policy only to sell the mrs the tdi will cost £4 a month more to insure?? Unbelievable, I called them and asked them why as the tdi is about 7 insurance groups lower than the gti and got a "it just is" answer from the other end of the phone,that was £330 a year for me and the mrs. Anyway pretty fed up with them unwilling to lower it I told them to forget it and cancel my policy,so compare the market it was to find another insurers and came up trumps with the AA,£230 for me and the wife,ain't they just robbing gits.
