splashproof will do, it seems waterproof and outdoor proof go hand in hand from the camera's iv'e seen
pretty much all the waterproof ones will be drop proof / freeze proof it really comes down to how robust you want it / the environment you'll be using it in. If we're talking camping / hill walking in summer then, any compact kept in a waterproof bag is going to be fine, if it's more walking in the Isle of Skye in February then you're going to want an all weather job.
Or it could just be that you're worried about it getting a few knocks, at which point a soft case would protect a normal compact.
Personally if I was buying then as said i'd go for the AW100 or the lumix, if it was a compact (bridge) then I'd go for the P7100 (mainly as it will work with my existing Nikon flashes).
