they are good at what there meant for.  they wernt meant to be fast they were meant to be shopping trollys.

is a bit like sticking a GTI badge on a raceing snail  might be quick for a snail but it's still f**king slow
all the VW's have gone bar 1.

Well. I drove one yesterday and I have to say after reading the comments on here I was actually suppriesed by how fast it actually was. A lot faster than my old car, I've had a Puma before and I'd say performane wise it was about on par with that.

Mine don't go half bad tbh :) quick enough for what i need it for and keeps up with my mates Fiesta ST 2.0

i could just about keep up with my mates fiesta st when my 1.8t was bog standard after the map it was all history  :grin:

Haha, not got much history to my car but its had a top end rebuild because its got a different head ( i know this as the oil filler lid sits alot lower under the engine cover than it should, and cant find out any otehr reason!) Also its been cammed and previously mapped, God knows why its not turbo'd! But need to get it on the rollers :)

Prob isn't a different head someone has just lost the spacer that brings the cap level to the cover  :embarassed:

Finally got one now! Picking it up tomorrow! It's a non-turbo on a 99 Plate!

Ive had my mk4 1.8 non-turbo for a year and a half and haven't had ONE thing go wrong on it yet!! Most reliable car ive ever had!! Love VW's now! A great car to choose!!!
