Wait for a few more weeks  get some extra cash and get a 1.8t gti! Not much money to buy these days and a lot of fun and easy to mod

unless you factor in insurance for a young driver. ide of choped mine in for a 1.8t along time ago if it wasnt for that. my insurance is 1k with mods declared. for a 1.8t standard it goes up to 2k

as said there not fast, however faster than a 2.0.  can still have fun in mine and it does 70 thats all i care about. once insurance becomes cheeper than i shal be building a 1.8t or a s3 powered mk2/mk3 (hopefully start the build after xmas)

If you can insure it get a turbo, if not then the 1.8 is a much better bet than a 2.0
