Difference in aux tensioners
« on: 22 June 2012, 13:08 »
Just picked car up after having 'cam belt kit' replaced, water pump, cam belt, aux belt and tensioner. It cost me £60 more than quoted, so £360 inc vat.

The guys had some trouble though, they ordered up the cam belt kit for my engine and when coming to fit it they couldn't...mine is an OLDER type of my engine code (ARL) and therefore had a hydraulic tensioner instead of the normal spring one. So they had to order a different kit which was obv £60 more...Apparently this is quite common but they just overlooked it when ordering/quoted me... :undecided:

Anyone else had this problem?
