Show me your TV stand / furniture
« on: 21 June 2012, 21:50 »
Please.

I want to update my little set up, but don't really know what I'm looking for and it's taking ages.

I have found that I am currently working at roughly 50% efficiency though. :lipsrsealed:

Got a bit of tidying up to do, was actually just looking for wood to box it all in at a similar angle to what the TV is and make  a corner cupboard unit for the cables / plugs points with a bit of a shelf on top of the 'cupboard'.

A bad representation of what I'm going to do, hopefully in the next few weeks! (any ideas where I can get cheapish but proper wood?)

oh and the glass TV stand is there to stop my 2 year old from getting at the plugs etc ...  but she just climbs over it !

PS: the brown is the wifes idea

i went into comet the otherday and they had a selction of wooden units designed for corners. worth a look and wont cost the earth. I ended going with a oak unit.

I looked long and hard for an oak unit to match the rest of the wood in the house, ended up with that one (Origin S4) at I was able to mount the Soundbar below the TV.

As it happens, I've been upgrading a TV this morning. Ended up mounting a Panasonic 32" HD LCD on a ceiling mount...

...in the garage!
