Hi from Buckinghamshire
« on: 21 June 2012, 21:38 »
Hi I'm scott, I've had VW's for last 5 years or so, been meaning to join and now i have a little problem its given me that push

I drive a mk3 Golf Cabrio 2.0 8v Black, Manual, Black leather, standard other than 60mm on sus-kit, GTI twinpipe backbox (original) clear black front indicators/fogs and some 16 205/195 5 spokes. Just returning to road after it got crashed into for the second time in a year, this time cat c. I'm far too attached to it now to scrap it like its nothing. The VIC test is tomorrow  :undecided:

I'm also a sucker for >e30 bmws, have been alot longer, but i drive them like a twit and why i love driving my cabby more :)
Any enough rabbiting, i have a problem to moan about

Buckingham itself, i go over your way sometimes for b h salvage, theres a few good scrappys round there :p

I didn't make my VIC check, so I've booked another and I'm going to use this extra time to sort some things. I've been busy this week but I'm hoping to get some good time on my Golf this weekend  Got in at 6pm today, whipped the gearbox out as the clutch probably wont last till next year, the gasket between the gearbox/bellhousing started weeping oil, which dripped down the case and slightly onto clutch. I replaced the gearbox just before it came off the road after ripping out the FD rivots, replacement was fine in the original car but decided to split its main gasket once in soo lol Getting a decent starter and clutch tomorrow, put it back together with new gasket. Its just the compromise you sometimes have to make with used parts, it was free if i took it out from a mates 1.8 8v.

Can anyone tell me where i can get free and maybe spyware free image hosting? Haven't used photobucket in years, anyone still use it?
