Every time I sell somats its not very expensive. I like to keep mk2 people motoring. When I was looking for a mk2 kr loom for mine I saw one on ebay, but as it got toi 92quid I stopped bidding as that's ridicules price for some wires.

Now when my mae wanted four g60 arches I had, I sold em to him for 80quid. And a leather rear bench for 50. Sold some g60 leather front seats for 35 and delivered em to the bloke in manchester. Solf a load of genuine buimpers n such for 30quid to another mate. Its not like am ever going to use em so why sell them for stupid prices.

Vw pickers

bahaha it wasn't me though! I saw the headlamp jets in stock (a nice even number for both sides) went to vw the following week after getting endless pm's about the jets and saw that one side was left in stock. Someone blatantly ordered lots thinking they were the same for left and right. They come up on the bay for £200-£300 when they are (were) 40 each from vw!

I do have a set of unpainted big bumper skins (genuine) that I paid £30. wrapped in the loft

TBF everything thats considered factory optional extra or rare is not that great?
For instance Vortex stuff looks odd and out of place the material is allways glossy compared to the stock plastic?
Motor sport stuff looks really odd on a bog standard GTI
Stuff like speaker pods and leather interiors weigh the whole car down ED1 seats with full electric motors weighs about 30Kg each GTI's are supoosed to be quick how can it be quick if its heavy?
Saw Rallye seats go for 2K gob smacked!
Worst thing I saw was a blue motor sport grill and badge on a 8Ver the car was nice, but why try and make it look like a limited?
It kind of reminds me of chaps who buy Farrari jackets and then drive an Escort?
A bit too critical? Yeah hence I don't bother anymore with what people stick on there cars.
Function without purpose is useless, Scene points is not a function or purpose!

Sun roof seals a problem?

G60 Arch Trims. Grrr Expensive for no good reason.

G60 / Rallye Screens - A Hassle, but not expensive.

... it's turned into a fashion show for poofters.

Most mechanical parts you can get good OE qualtiy pattern parts. It is the items such as trims that are only ever OEM/VW that are frustrating. Recently replaced the cill trim for the right side but the left side is not available. Nor are the door trims (5 door - I know!)

Give it a year and the bumpers will be in stock along with the side trims.

rallye screens  -   awhile back we needed to source 2 of them and nasty possoblity of needing a 3rd.    we had one genuine screen but decided not to use it and ended up haveing a run of 10 made with quick clear and 10 without.   got 2 of them left
all the VW's have gone bar 1.

Also parts that are genuinely rare, and not just Ebay rare!  VW Motorsport gear knobs, and Recaro's spring to mind as rare, and not a set of MK2 floormats...

Thom

I've had a VW Motorsport Gear knob on my mk2 16v Turbo for about 15 years, is it really rare then?
