The handling, performance, the reasonable economy and the space.

Although this isn't quite the right one as it's not a 4motion and doesn't have a tailgate.

It's the intelligent choice, which explains why you don't understand it.
Just because you're offended doesn't make you right.

I've driven a transporter, and I thought it was terrible, the seating position is awful, the pedals are way too high, the ride is uncomfortable and almost everything is an optional extra, I much prefer the old transporters, the old ones are more reliable too, unlike the newer ones that are made of cheese.

6 months old and it couldn't do more than 200 miles without developing an engine management fault of some kind that would cut the power then eventually stop the thing running at all.

Current cars 1995 Golf gti colour concept 2.0 8v 156,000 miles. bmw 316 1.9 129,000. yeah, life's good!

Ahh yes, I can see the resemblance.

Looks like a real tidy vehicle mate, very practical to for what you mentioned also. Remap the sh!t out of it, a few other choice engine mods perhaps and you'll have one very quick van, even with your bikes in the back  :smug:
