Mrs Ginge had to take her cab to the dealers cos the roof lining had sagged around the rear window. VW technical said that it was an unknown fault and therefor they would have to replace the whole roof at the cost of £3k - under warranty of course!
This made us both quite cross especially when you could see it just needed a decent job of sticking it back up. We would've done it but why should you when the car was £30k and not even two weeks old.
The sales manager got involved along with the salesman and we came to a compromise, they fix it i.e. stick it back together, fit the GTi side skirts, paint the mirrors black gloss and also supply the door sill scuff plates.
I reckon that this is a great compromise as these are all items that I was gonna do over the next six months.
Unhappy to begin with but now very satisfied! Pics to follow, car is booked in next Friday.
