Intelligent comment considering we won the game. Does not matter if we win lose or draw some still have to have a whinge and slag off at least one player. No one says we are going to win the tournament but we are playing better now and if Hodgson can build on the early promise over the next 2 years then why not ??  At least Hodgson has the players sticking together and then when he makes a sub it seems to be for the good of the team and I also believe with Rooney back against Ukraine we will be a lot better and more of a threat in front of goal.

If nothing else i enjoyed wathing the match which is more than can be said for past tournaments! I don't mind if we lose as long as we lose with a fight! but tbh i think this younger fresher England have something to prove and i like it.

Was good to see Z Ibrahimavich giving it the biggun after the second goal then losing, apart from that I think we will get torn apart if we play one of the better teams

My Preferred team for Tuesday:  Hart, Johnson, Terry, Lescott, Cole, Young, Gerrard, Parker, Walcott, Rooney, Carroll

Then later on bring Wellbeck on for Carroll maybe and Milner on for Young midway through second half to inject some pace into a tiring side

If they continue to improve they should do well....doubt they have the squad to actually win it as there are some really good teams in good form. You know what will happen though, Germany in the knock out stages, either hammered or robbed.....or gubbed on penalties.

Watching Ireland.....they really are a team on the slide. Worst team in the tournament!!

I think Ireland suffer from football being a third tear sport in Eire, Rugby and Celtic "hockey" have a massive following and they are pretty damn good at it.
Still Football is growing all the time out there, I am a Sligo Rovers fan by default
