I've just spent a few days driving a mk7 tdi and it was a mixed bag really, very frugal and very very quiet when cruising with quite positive handling but the interior felt cheap and the seats were very uncomfortable , oh and the parcel shelf felt like it was made from cereal boxes.

I agree with the paint comment but apart from that mechanically ive not had any issues yet but I have only done 5500 miles so we shall see!

Are you for real?
You have a Mk3 I assume...and you suggest the Mk6 (sorry...Mk7) has a cheaper interior and more uncomfortable seats?
Next to a Mk3?

The Mk6 seats are WAY better...especially in the cooking models...S/SE Mk6 seats vs Mk3 CL seats = no comparison.
The Mk6 interior is several leagues ahead.
The parcel shelves seem the same to me...and I have both a Mk3 and a Mk6.

Mk6 then...yes very real....yes i prefer the seats in the mk3....i'm sure the upmarket mk6 interiors are much better, this one wasn't....and devon has plenty of londoners who constantly go on about how great london is and should really just f**k off back there...and the parcel shelf is no big deal just something i noticed as i spent a lot of time taking stuff in and out so it didn't ruin my holiday or anything and the car was pretty pleasant to drive on the whole just not light years ahead of an old golf...just my opinion.

hahaha driving a mk3 Golf is light years away from driving a new Golf, what mk6 golf model was it ?
