Would they fit?
« on: 13 June 2012, 19:28 »
Would 15" wheels fit over the standard 288mm brakes on the GTI? cuz I want to downsizes (I know it sound weird but its going on a race car and I want cheaper tyres and less unsprung weight.)

Yes.
I often wonder why people never expect sarcastic comments from me - they're the only reason I speak...

I can also vouch that they will fit under 15", I had 288mm behind 15" avis 2 wheels.

Big brakes are nice on a track car but budget permitting of course, some don't want to spend much on their track cars because they think it will inevitably be crashed frequently. It's why I have left standard bumpers on my golf - I get an absurd amount of debris and stone chips flicked up.
