Minirig
« on: 13 June 2012, 17:06 »
Has anyone got one of these? I was just looking for a new set of speakers to take on holiday & via another forum came across these

http://minirigs.co.uk/

I have just ordered one but if they are as good as people say may get a 2nd as you can link them up. Got 40 x 5 star reviews on Amazon

From what everyone says on various forums & all the reviews it is well worth the money for the sound quality & the fact it is just a speaker

Bose are nice but being wirless i bet the battery life is awful on top of draining your music device battery plus it's £250 to much money to bashing it around on holiday

Bumping this up....

Ive had a mini rig for a while now but just picked up the sub, and boy it completely changes the sound. Its freaking awesome

On another note I know the two people who designed and build them way back from my party days.

Pricey for 'just' a speaker but worth it for the sound quality and depth of the sub. Its like having a mini rig in my room

We've got one of these, which is pretty good for the size. Very good for taking on holiday.

A review by Forbes.com

Quote
Budget: Pasce Minirig (~$140)
At the opposite end of the scale is the most remarkable portable speaker we’ve heard all year. Beats and Jambox have the ad spending power, but the Pasce Minirig blows them all away. It crams in a 15W 3in driver that is 3-5x more powerful than its more illustrious rivals and so produces far richer, more accurate, far louder audio. In addition battery life lasts over 60 hours at moderate volume on a single charge, up to 8-10x most rivals. The compromise is the Minirig lacks Bluetooth and so requires a wired connection to your phone or tablet, but at half the price of Beats and Jambox alternatives it is a small sacrifice to make. (Note: Tough to find on sale in the U.S. Launch expected in 2014)
