Mk2 GTi 16v Exhaust System
« on: 12 June 2012, 13:11 »
Hi

Can anyone recommend a particular make of exhaust system for my 16v Mk2? The standard system is a little too quiet, although I don't want a super loud boy racer sound. I'd like a more satisfying deep sound if possible if anyone has any recommendations. And whether just the back box or whole system?

Thanks

Millteks for a Mk2 haven't been available for years, so good like finding one.

Another vote here for the standard one. They make the best power on a standard engine as well by all accounts.
Red Mk6 gone replaced with a white Mk7 which has gone too. Green Mk2 here to stay.

The standard set up is great, I generally can't hear mine over the tools rattling in the door pockets

I've got a long-life system system for ya if your interested. Never actually fitted it to my car cos I got told 2.5" diameter is too small for a vr6
