what engine is this? 8 or 16 valve? i've never done a 16 valve but 8's are a pain in the arse, as the inlet manifold tends to get in the way. rocker cover gasket is pretty straight forward on both engines and i can't think of any time saving tips, other than soak your manifold to downpipe bolts with oil for as long as possible before.
team grumpy....... its a way of life, not a forum post

ah well, its a 16v.  did the swap tonight,  the crack in the old cast item was massive, it went from half way across one pipe and then traveled down about 6 inchs to where the manifold ends.!!!

anyway fitted the new one. ended up having to cut two pipes off as i couldnt get it throught the small gap .  started at 1700 , stoped at 1800 for dinner , started again at 6.30 and fineshed at 23.00..

didnt go to bad, and i now know how to do it quicker, cant wait till tommorow to c what a difference it makes. just need the rest of the zorst made now and then we will be sailing
