ASR and EPC light
« on: 09 June 2012, 09:57 »
Hello guys,

On two occasions now the ASR and EPC lights have come on the dash and the car feels like its gone into limp mode. I just have no power at all.

I've quickly dipped the clutch turned it off and on and it's been perfect for another month or so. Once the car is restarted the lights go off so when I scan it nothing comes up.

Any idea what it could be?

It drives perfectly 99% of the time but when it happens it is dangerous. Especially when it happens coming onto an island.

All 4 coil packs were replaced by VW not long back, the MAF is genuine and 3 months old, all PCV hoses are silicone and new, the PCV valve is new, I've done the N112/249 and SAI delete so there's only like 2 pieces of silicone vacuum hose and they're both new. I can't think what it would be.

Cheers

Could be a faulty ABS sensor.
