don't think mine is set to 30 mins. seems a lot shorter than that but never checked that option.
I'm sure mine once showed a message saying to conserve battery power switch the radio off or something.
Mine started bonging at me once while cleaning it, saying the battery was low as i'd had the doors open for a while.
