Project - Mini Me
« on: 07 June 2012, 20:11 »
Thought I'd have a bash at doing a 1:43 scale of my finished Cabrio, now I know this thread may get moved but I started it here as it is too a Mk3.

First things first I stripped it down and removed the paint.

Then I started smoothing down the GTi side mouldings to something move like the CL ones.

As you can see the bumper swage lines are still there.

I then used Superglue lightly to fill the swage lines and indicator recesses and then 800 wet 'n dry.

Next thing to do once my modelling files arrive is the file out the grille badge to go badgeless

Over the weekend I decided to paint the wheels and interior before painting the body.

So I have made the wheels look as close as possible to the Rota GT3's.

And the black interior with the Red Leather seats, door card inserts and steering wheel rim plus Tonneau cover.
