I remember a few years ago wanting them to remake Most Wanted with better graphics as I enjoyed it so much. It's a shame some of the rubbish they've churned out since.

I bought Need for Speed: Undercover but never particularly enjoyed that. I quite liked Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit, although I missed not being able to modify the car with performance upgrades. I found I needed to buy an Xbox 360 controller because the controls were frustrating on keyboard, which was never a problem with Most Wanted. The racing game I always seem to go back to even today is Most Wanted.

It will be interesting to see if the new Most Wanted is any good. Recent NFS games have been particularly buggy with performance issues (typical console port) so I hope it's something they address.

apparantly the original most wanted is quite rare on the 360 as its was a port to original xbox and ps2 version

I loved NFS:U1. U2 was awesome. MW went away from the underground/hiphop/modding scene but I still loved the chases. Undercover was a load of pants and I tried the demos for the others. Hot Pursuit looked okay but I couldn't be arsed to shell out for it.

NFS has become increasingly dire over the last few years...

Played the original when it was new on the Saturn (think I played it on a 3DO as well, remember those?)

It was brilliant!

I liked High Stakes (1998) on the PC as you could play cops vs racers on splitscreen)
Hot Pursuit 2 (2002) on PC was pretty good, no nonsense fun as well.

Underground was good with all the modifying, but Underground 2's free-roam system was buggy as if you had no cash, you couldn't race, and without racing you couldn't earn cash!

Ever since the free-roam idea came in (with Underground 2), the series went to pot. Then Autolog came in and finished it off!

The new Hot Pursuit (360) was so buggy it wouldn't let me play more than the first 2 races, it would just constantly hang.
The Run (360) was OK but too much emphasis on having a storyline. I don't want stories, I just want to pick a car and race on the road! Too much faffing around.

Bring back the original; proper exotica, no free-roam or Autolog B.S., trying to outrun the police, and SPLITSCREEN! It's not too much to ask.

I don't think a semi will give the same results
