ARB Questions

Hello,

This may be a stupid question but i have now got coilovers for the golf but ive been told and read that if i lower my car more then 55-60mm then i will have issues with my driveshaft hitting the ARB. So on to my question could i just not have a ARB or would my car either:

A: Drive like crap
B Handle like crap
C: dangerous

Also if my car didn't have a ARB would it fail its MOT??

Im only asking this as a new ARB that goes under the driveshaft is going to cost about £100 and i need other bits first

Leave it on, just dont lower it so much, till u get a new arb

+1 car will handle horible with out it.

Or just buy adjustable drop links off eBay like I did. Cheaper than new arb. Only about 25

well im looking to slam the golf soo how much can you lower the car with the adjustable links?

Well the ba of mine ain't got the big nuts on the thread thing and front is level. Not sure how low that is.

normally once it gets to around 40 it starts rubbing on full lock.

Once the wishbones are no longer level the arb is pretty pointless anyway. If your going stupidly low then just chop it off.
