Just had a cruise back from Hunstanton with the missus, averaging between 55-60mph due to traffic, n I was gobsmacked to see that from a 58mile journey, I averaged 63.1MPG!! :laugh: :evil:

Might not be as fun to drive a derv, but the money I save on fuel means extra money towards mods! :smug:

i got this is the 1.8t on a 700 mile round trip and was chuffed as fook


 i drive a golf thats why im skint!!!!


losing interest in the golf and now not so skint !!!!!

i can get mine up to 40 odd mpg with in 5 or 10 miles of motorway crusing  :evil: good old 1.8n/a

I can get 38-39 with the 1.8t driving to work at 5am with no traffic, hard task to do so and only done when close to payday after an expensive month  :grin:

I get 30's too, my mate I car share with got Octavia 1.9tdi on way work his shows 70mpg+

100 mile trip today (mixed roads) at the end I got 33.6 average.

25 mile trip on m-way i can bet 42 mpg in my 1.8t aum

Im guessing that these 1.8t are been driven very slowly as there good figures?

around town i get about 28-32 if im lucky  :grin:

went to cleethorpes other day in my 1.8t which is around 60 miles away from home and got between 41 acording to my read out on the dash, round town its more like 25 and on a back road on a nice day its more like 10,15 mpg haha :)
MK4 golf 1.8 turbo agu :)
