I'm looking on ECP and the pads with wear sensors are cheaper than the exact same size pads without sensors. My car doesnt have a connection for the sensors.

Would it be OK to install pads with the sensors and just tie the connectors out of the way?

Then you get a warning on your dash...it has been driving me crazy! Also would it fail a MOT cause of this?
