Took car in for 1st service last week to awesome gti in Manchester, friendly people and good service, when i went to pick up the car the mechanic informed me it had an oil leak but he was not sure where it was coming from, so i booked it into my local VW dealer in oldham also mentioned about the vibration noise coming from engine between certain rev ranges, i was very sceptical on this as the guy on the service reception said "its probably the heat shield" but he'd get them to look at it.
Anyway they looked at the the oil leak and it turned out to be the camshaft sensor oil seal so they replaced the whole sensor and they fitted the clip to the wastegate to stop the vibration noise, so now all is good and for once quite impressed with a main dealer.
