Power steering help please

I am having a dilema  My car (Gti 16v) has had alot of engine work done to it and I am unsure what exactly, I was told it had a TSR
engine so could be 2.0L not the 1.8 that it says it is on log book. The problem is not with the engine, but the power steering pump........
Do I just get one for 1.8 Gti 16v? will it make a difference if it's 2.0L
I have had lots of people give me different advice and I just thought I would ask you guys and get a proper answer

Should be fine some pumps have a different shaft, but I would expect you to measure the shaft length and then who ever sells one to give you the dimensions!
I've got one in the garage off a 2.0 16V KR Corrado I can always measure it for you so you can compare?
Double check the diameter of pulleys as well.

I have just been looking through my paperwork that I got with the car and the only reciept from TSR is from a rolling road, which was 185
bhp. Anybody know someone round the Peterborough area that might be willing to check it over for me?

Why not post some pics up of the engine etc and we can then see what pump it is running at the moment..
