Boost problem
« on: 31 May 2012, 21:30 »
Hi guys, I've got bit of a problem here. A few weeks ago a few of my manifold bolts come loose and so did the turbo bolts on my 1.8t so I parked it up as I couldnt be bothered with it. I've now fitted new manifold bolts and turbo bolts, so it's all bolted p and piped p nicely, now the problem is when I put my foot down the car just feels flat as f*#k like there's no pull to it! I had it mapped by r-tech about 2 months ago and it pulled like a train! Now I took the pipe off from the n75 valve which goes to the actuator on the turbo and it seems to be no vaccum, and with the pipe connected the waste gate isn't even opening, I can hear the recirc valve ever so slightly but not as it should be normally. So my question is do you guys think my N75 valve is past it?

Cheers guys

From reading other peoples threads it seems as if it's gone into limp mode? I could be wrong but how do you reset this?

Yeah I'm going to pick up a new one tomorrow from Tps. How do I get it out of limp mode?

Engine code is a AGU, I've put a new n75 on it and there's no difference.

The car isn't limited in the revs and reaches higher speeds then 50/60. So it can't be in limp mode,
I can hear the recirc valve only slightly but there is no kick In it it will rev upto redline stationery and when driven but it's like you can't feel the turbo kick in and the wastegate is definitely not opening... Pipes could be on the wrong way round but I doubt they are :s

limp mode on the AGU is only usually hit when there is too much air coming through the MAF, it's not clever enough to do anything else
