« on: 10 June 2005, 20:54 »
 :embarassed:

OK guys a dumb question from a new GTI owner

Thinking of having a Revo remap done

But don't want to do much more, What else Is the minimum I need to do

ie Forge Dump valve, CAI, Exhaust etc  :undecided:

I don't want to bugger up the motor but what's the minimum I can get away with after an Revo  remap

As far as I have gathered, you only need a forge dump valve, cos the VW wont last long with the extra power. You are better off getting a 4 bar fuel regulator aswell, you get an extra 15bhp for £50.
If you get the CAI, and the cat replacement exhaust, you can get an extra 10-15% more power. My revo dealer said if I get the stage 1, then get the exhaust and cai later, he'll upgrade for free

fuel pressure is regulated by the fpr and what it does is ensure u maintain a constant pressure... by increasing the pressure the fuel flow into the cylinders will be greater and more of a mist improving the combustion... when running more fuel u can increase airflow and in turbo turms u can increase the boost pressure being fed into the cylinder aswell... so go get yourself an uprated fpr and and some big injectors and get that boost wound up!!

*please note its not quite as simple as it sounds,(before u go blowing things up!)

Who's your revo dealer, cause if he'll put the satge 2 on for free, i'll pop and see him
