lighting problemo!
« on: 10 June 2005, 18:26 »
hey guys, for some reason my dash lights and switches lights don't work, apparently its the grey/blue wire coming from the back of the light switch but i seem to have power there and between the brown and grey/blue terminals of the switches so i'm a bit unsure as to why none of these lights work? any clues anyone??
i'm planning on pulling my dash apart to install some blue lights in there so should i be on the look out for anything?

U sure the dash switches dont work or are just really dim?  I take it you tried fiddling with the dimmer slider? ;)

If you're fitting blue leds, make sure you use a resistor or get 12v leds, and make sure you wire them the right way round as they only work one way unlike normal bulbs :)

i've played around with the variostat or whatever and its not just dim, they all worked before i stopped driving my car about 6 months ago, so i think it'd be a bit weird if all the switches/dash lights just broke.

already got the led's and bought 12v ones with resistors, have'nt started wiring them in though as i wanted to get them working first!
