I had my car in to the have the wastegate problem corrected. Not a hint of the rattle remains. It is very weird not to hear it. Hope I don't miss it
Also, I had noticed a couple of very small, perhaps 2mm in diameter, marks on my alloys. I was not sure if it was the whiteworm I have read so much about but thought I would ask the warranty manager to take a look.
He immediately said it was white worm and actually spotted a bit on another wheel I had not seen. He told me that he would replace the three wheels with the marks on. This work will be done next Thursday.
The dealership (lookers Middlesbrough) continue to provide excellent service and I thought a positive experience was worth commenting on. I also needed some screen wash and I was not charged.
A pretty good start to the day.
