Hi
i have just recently changed all the pipe's in my pcv system and just needed a few answer's for peace of mind
my car is a y reg 2001 vw Golf 1.8T 20V AUM and when i started to take it apart it all looked like the setup in this guide. when i first got the car it felt preety slow and slugish ( still dosent seem to quick now but feels alot better) i have changed the Dv to a forge one and changed the boost pipe's to a forge set also and fitted a induction kit. i have then recently changed all these pipe's this week, car now feels alot better when pulling although still not as quick as i thought it would have been lol ( maybe a remap will make me happy lol)
http://uk-mkivs.net/forums/t/269734.aspxwhen i fitted the new pipe's i have now set the car up more like this guide
http://nomads.eurodiscussion.net/t1343-pcv-positive-crank-ventilation-20vti have capped of the extra brake vac line and replace all the pipe's for this system with the motor sport creations one's from ebay
the question i need to ask is will changing the pcv set up on my car do any damaged as all the original pipe's were split and rotted and were leaking like mad. from looking at both the guides my car was set up like the first guide as stock but now set up like the second guide as i have replaced all the pipes and would just like to ask is this ok or should i revert back to how it was originaly set up when i got the car. Any information wopuld be much appreciated as i only want to do whats best for the car and not cause any damaged. i also read somewere that it is advised to add a extra one way valve (check valve) near the nipple on the inlet manifold just incase. all help apreciated
