AUQ overheating problem

my anni keeps overheating on the dial since i give it some stick the other day, changed coolant sensor but still keeps saying stop check coolent temp, idels fine at 90' but drive it and put foot down abit and it goes up. checked coolant bottle after it said stop today and that wasnt red hot? could it be another faulty temp sensor?

thats wat i thought changed it for new en but still same could it be a falty sensor? also if it was overheating then wouldnt it overheat whilst iderling?

To check if the water pump is ok - take the tube that connects to the top of the coolant bottle off and hold it over where you put the coolant into the expansion bottle, and turn the engine over, you should have a steady stream of coolant from that pipe.

have you noticed leaks or loss of coolant?
Checked all coolant pipes?

no loss of coolant or anything, i will give that ago this afternoon then see what happens

Let it get up to temp and keeping it idling and see if the fans kick in

Fans kick when it gets right up on temp gauge but then temp
Comes down pritty quick when iderling

sounds like gas in the system needs bleeding. Let it idle with the coolant cap off. Remember to let it cool down first, then let it get up too temp with the cap off. Give hoses a good squeeze while u wait. Also thermostat might be sticky..
