Width of Red Pinstripe

Wanting to add some red pinstripe to the GTi, i measured the space for it and it measures at about 6mm, Just wondering if anyone has done it or could measure theres???

Dont get a pinstripe, it will wash right off  

If i was ever to go down this route again id mask and paint... or thin brush and gentle hand

Why the hell would you want to paint it when you can get a perfectly good pinstripe sticker for a few ££?
It makes no sense.

Oh yeah...it washes off...
Mine has been on since the car was built in Wolfsburg in July 1996...and hasn't washed off yet!

I used to have pinstripe on my wheels never came off in 4 years

Just go for pinstrip but give it a good clean with meths first to remove all the crap etc if you don't it will not stick.

the reason it comes off easily on there is coz people over the years have used back to black or other products with silicone in them on the black bits wich makes it hard for the vinyl glue to stick to.
giving them a good scrub with thinners then once pinstripe is on run a heat gun over it helps.

id did all this to mine but it still came off after a wile.

if people have used silicone products on it it may be hard for paint to go on nice aswell.
