Mobile Phone Signal Boosters
« on: 28 May 2012, 16:18 »
Anyone had any experience with a product like this?

http://www.mobilesignal.co.uk/products/165/iBoost-GSM-1800/

One of my bosses has moved into an area where the signal literally disappears into a black hole.  As we are all on a business contract, to simply change providers could be a headache so looking at alternatives.

It needs to work on Orange and with an iPhone 4S.  I know Blackberry's come with a signal booster built in which piggy backs off the wi-fi  :undecided:  However, we are Apple fanboi's here so want something that will work with the iPhone.....

Cheers

Just read up on that but it requires a broadband connection.

The kits I've looked at have a mini-external aerial and then a signal booster inside   Just chatting to someone online on that sight and it seems it should do the job perfectly........

Those basically amplify a weak signal as long as you have a signal of some sort it will work, I've heard some legalities as regards using them? I looked into getting one for 2100mHz but then this month after contacting 3 they sent me one of their new Home Signal boxes (similar to Vodafone's one) free of charge and it works great full bars signal in most of house now
