Power steering hose

Need new power steering hose from pump to reservoir this doesnt have any fancy fitting on it that im aware.. Can i just use a piece of oil proof hosing ? if not what hose can i use as people on ebay seem to be selling this piece from £85 to £100 which is expensive.. Would rather cut it perfect fit for my car from a length of hose..

This is ABF into mk2 with mk2 rack.. Am i ok using the mk3 pump or do i need to fit mk2 pump somehow ??

You have ABF from MK3 into a MK2 so pump is from MK3 right?
The pipe itself in question should have an open end at reservoir? Doesn’t it not have a solid metal pipe with nut union for the pump?
You need hydraulic pipe that can handle pressure from the pump otherwise it will break.
If you have a straight through pipe with no nut union on either ends, then just find suitable length of Hydraulic pipe and clamp on!

I got complete hose set for my abf mk2 off a mk3 in a scrappy for 4 quid.

That's cheap. Minimum price is 5er round my way for anything! The hoses would be 20quid! Bolt your mk2 pump onto the abf engine, just use all mk2 pas stuff. Although I think the mk2 lines still fit the mk3 pump, even though the mk3 uses a banjo rather than the mk2 formed end

Yer sorry abf in mk2.. using mk3 pump.. all i need is line front res to pump.. believe mk2 item fits but for some reason i cut mine  so i wanted to get a length or pipe one end jubilee to resi and other jubilee on mk3 pump everyone with me ? ?
