magnex exhaust for a mk3 20vt conversion
« on: 27 May 2012, 20:52 »
thinking of changing my jetex to a magnex but I've heard from a couple places that the magnex is only 2 inch where the jetex is 2.5 inch. is this too small for a 20vt stage 1?

cheers :)

i had to get rid of my beloved magnex for this reason. and get a Jetex

TBH, the Jetex is as good in terms of build quality so i don't understand why u would want to waste money ? unless your after a different tailpipe design

had enough of f**king about with this jetex tbh  the previous owner has cut off the centre hanger and welded on some bodge replacement so I think no matter how much I try its never going to hang properly :( I have the tailpipes centered and level but this means because of the centre hanger a part of the pipe touches the underside of the car, which causes loud and very annoying vibrations

Going for magnex mainly because I can get one cheap , and I cant find any second hand Jetex systems :( Its a problem I want to fix but not one I want to spend £300-£400 fixing :P

forgot to say, that is if they come in bigger than 2 inch, if not I guess I'm stuck :( quite fancy trying something other than jetex but want to keep it relatively quiet

They were 200 quid and they don't make them anymore,  they said they are waiting for suppliers to give them more apparently.
