best way to setup coilovers??

hi there my golf had coilover on it when i bought it i want to drop the rear end a little lower whats the best way to do it without it going to the garage on a ramp i plan to do it on my drive but hows the best way to do this and  get them level?? and do i just screw the nut up to lower it more?/

Down to go lower :wink:

I normally measure just measure the gap between the bottom of the strut and the bottom of the adjuster ring, make sure that they all match up.

The best way to make sure they're the same though is to just wind them all the way down :evil:

i normally wind right down, make a mark so i know were the front is, wind it up x amount of threads then have the mark at the front again, do the same on the other side and wind it up the same amount of threads so the mark is at the front again
