Guess what people - after nearly 2 months VW have finally fixed my car  and I'm going to collect it this afternoon.

They've replaced lots of different parts without success, but in the end it turned out to be a faulty MAF sensor! More news later..

ooh it'll be good to have my baby back!

Faulty MAF... really, is that all? Wow! Great news tho!
Does your plate end in SSS?
Seen it a few times, in fact, even got a photo as I was going to send it to you

Really pleased its now finally sorted for you. I sincerely hope it brings you plenty of enjoyment as you have been one hell of a patient guy.

Ps I hope VW gave you some kind of compensation for the 2 months you were without the car. I would be wanting 3 years free servicing.

Pleased its sorted but sorry dealer needs a good kicking, 2 months to diagnose a maf issue is unacceptable and in reality I wouldn't be letter them near my pride and joy again

I know VW's technical team were involved too so looks like all dealers are out of bounds in that case
