Obsolete at VW, No patent part available from normal sources, i'm screwed! Please tell me someone here knows where i can get hold of one of these water flanges, it's the one where the top pipe for the radiator plugs into it, any sugjestions, i find it hard to beleive that nobody covers this part!

http://www.gsfcarparts.com/179vg0150 ? now thats specific for a 1.3 1985!
Doesn't matter if angle is steep the rubber pipe can be extended and fit over outlet
worst case if its not broken just replace the O ring that seals it up with some orange gasket sealant!

wont fit, completely wrong fitment, it wont even bolt in and theres a bit that should stand proud of the face that holds the thermostat in which that doesn't have, that one there is for the 1300 that looked like a PB engine at a glance, mine is the same as the mk1 golf engine / polo 1300. think im in the sh1t on this one! i went to veedubmachine yesterday and tried a load of different ones they had in stock and i couldnt get one which bolted in or fitted over the thermostat recess properly!

Hm, just had a look in ETKA, is it part no. 052-121-121-E ?

Quick google brought nothing up in the UK, although I did find this shop: http://www.mecatechnic.com/VWC_C132628_GB_052-121-121-E--Cover-water-052121121E.htm

Try a few searches, but maybe you'll only find it outside oif the UK now, if this is the right one of course.
