expansion bottle leaking water out of lid

ive bought a new lid dont look any differnt. the black center bit has its black rubber. is there a bigger o-ring which sills the lip to the tanks a picture of a correct one would be great cheers

head gasket maybe is the only reason i know of for water/ coolant to come out of the expansion bottle


 i drive a golf thats why im skint!!!!


losing interest in the golf and now not so skint !!!!!

how i stop my engine over heating? temp dont go over 90 if it does then its only a little bit?

if head gaskets gone then a air bubble could have possibly got into the cooling system and formed were the sensor is meaning you get a reading on 90 when really its 100 odd or so?

ive had a pressure test done there is no leaks. and takes ages to lose half litre of water. but touch wood since i put new cap on all is good

i know on newer vws they did a recall for coolant caps changed them too a black cap instead of blue as the blue ones leaked out as yours does
MK4 golf 1.8 turbo agu :)
