my new gear knob

ok was going though some old stuff of mine today and came across an old fantacey knife and thought to myself the handle would make a cool gear knob.
so i have taken the handle off and i plan to make it into a gear knob.

on the top of the handle there is a spike that is screwed into the metal so i plan to remove the spike and use the threaded hole to re-thread that will screw to the gear stick thread then i will cap the small hole.
did think about leaving the spike on but it could get painfull if i wasnt paying attention 

what do ya think?

it may look pants but worth a try.

Yeah it's your car and each to their own Go for it and get some pictures up when it's done it might look better once it's on

As many others  have said not my thing, but if you liked the knive, chances arwe your gunna like it as a gear knob, so I say go for it!

Ha be a long time mate. Car is locked away and forgotten about. Karting has taken over but I buy things for it when the price is right. Already got loads of goodies
